During treatment, laser energy is absorbed by pigment within the hair. This energy travels down to the follicle, where it gently disrupts the hair’s ability to grow.
Because hair grows in cycles, only hair in the active growth phase can be effectively treated at each session. This is why laser hair removal is performed as a series, not a single visit.
